Tour De Klerksdorp
Advantage T.A. took 11 pupils up to the NW Province to play in the Super 7 series. All of our players performed well
and have made improvements in their game since our last tour. We had both finalists in the U10 section where
Ashleigh Holman beat Melissa Laing to lift the title. They went onto win the doubles title together. In the U14 girls
Veronique Luksich beat the No.13 and then the No.5 ranked players in the country to reach the ¼ finals.
We had a wonderful stay in Klerksdorp and must say a huge thank you to Mr and Mrs Dennett for putting us up and
taking such good care of us.
Junior League
Advantage T.A. will be entering 3 U12 and 3 U14 teams in the Gauteng Central Tennis Association junior league.
The league starts on Sun 8th May (Mothers Day) in the afternoon and will be played for 5 weeks. All players that are
not junior club members will need to pay a fee to cover registration and tennis balls. Parents will be approached to
manage a team which will involve arranging lifts to away matches, eats for home matches and making sure all
players are available. In previous years our teams have performed superbly and we look forward to another good year.
Shining Lights
We are excited to let you know that Randburg TC has 2 sets of brand new state of the art floodlights on courts D and E.
The lights are a much needed addition for our coaching with winter well on its way. We plan to expand our squads
under lights and add further programs and night tournaments in the future.
Security Gate
If you haven’t noticed, security fencing and a new motorised gate have been installed at the club. We would like to
advise all parents that the main gate and the side gate will be open during the afternoon and will be closed in the
evening. Pupils who are involved in late classes will be given the pin code to gain access. A big thanks must go to
Eelco Lodewijks, a long standing member of the club who donated the fencing and to the club which paid for the
gate and motor. We know that there may be some initial hang ups as we try to sort out the best access arrangements
so please bear with us in the interest of a safer club. Please be careful not to drive into the intercoms!

Private Lessons
With the addition of our new lights the Advantage T.A. coaches are available to add new lessons into their schedules.
If you are interested in starting with private lessons or extending your existing lesson please speak to any of the
coaches. The younger children normally start earlier in the afternoon as they get out of school earlier and the older
pupils normally slot in later. We should be able to accommodate all pupils at a suitable time. To their needs.
