AUSSIE OPEN

Marat Safin won his second Grand Slam title in his career by winning the Australian Open against
Lleyton Hewitt. He came back from a set down and 4-1 down to win in 4 sets. Previously if Safin
found himself in this position he would have thrown in the towel but he showed a mature attitude
and hung in the match until he was able to turn it around.
In the ladies finals Serena Williams also came back from a set down to defeat Davenport.
