Happy New Year
Advantage T.A. wishes all pupils and their families a wonderful and tennis filled year during 2005.
We will be offering more group classes, more squads, more tours, more fun and more excitement.
We can’t wait to get started.
Sports Mania
The "Moles" lead by Zac Pitsillis, won the December rain interrupted sportsmania. With huge down pours over
the 3 days the "Moles" managed to burrow up enough courage during the dry spells and they also showed great
focus and determination with their tunnel like vision as they swept aside all the other teams. The Captain of the
week was Kent Davis who boldly led his team where no other team has gone before with great enthusiasm.
The sportsman of the week was Brett Smeath-Thomas and the sportswoman was Claire Markotter. Well done to
all the winners and all those who took part.

came 6th. They played doubles together and won their first tour title and in P.E. Ashleigh came 4th in the singles
and Melissa came and in the doubles they finished 3rd.
In E.L. Jessica got to the second round backdraw singles and the quarter finals of the doubles event, and in
P.E. she made it to the first round main draw singles and the quarter finals of the doubles event.
Henli Kriel, Veronique and Genevieve Luksich and Nicholas Grobbelaar played in C.T. and Stellenbosch.
Henli and Nicholas lost in the 2nd round qualifying in both tournaments. Genevieve lost in the 1st round main
draw in both tournaments and got to the semi-finals of the back draw in Stellenbosch. Veronique lost in the
last 16 of the main draw in both tournaments and beat the No.20 and 14 ranked U14 girls in the 1st round.
Well done and make the experience you have gained count in 2005.
Rankings
From Jan 2005 all pupils will start their points from zero. The years rankings will be run like the ATP tour
champions race with prizes for our year end champions in each level. Scores will be registered exactly as they
appear on our score sheets. Pupils who move up a level will halve their scores and continue in the next level.
Rankings will be published in our February Newsletter.
The results from your matches in January will count towards your scores.
Fees
Advantage T.A. fee structure will remain the same for all coaching done at Randburg T.C. Squads will be charged
